Minecraft on a PowerPC Mac? Yes, you heard that right. Full 1.5.2 Minecraft Java on your PowerPC G3/G4/G5 Mac! Why 1.5.2 you may ask? Well, 1.6 and later sadly require newer Java versions and other cool stuff that (probably) don't exist on the PowerPC platform. I have given you the starter app and Minecraft 1.5.2 with sound patch and OptiFine 1.5.2 HD Ultra D5 (Starter app and sound patch not made by me).
I'd recommend running the game on a Mac made after 2003, but depending on your configurations, you might be able to run it on some early G4 Macs and on some really powerful G3 Macs. I have preconfigured the settings that worked the best on my PowerBook G4 15" 1.67 Ghz w/1 GB ram. Be sure to mess with the settings to get the best/most stable FPS on your hardware. Also be sure to run this on Mac OS X 10.5.8 w/latest Java for it to get the best experience. If using 10.4.11, be sure to find the latest Java for it to get it running.
Ok enough talking let's start
1. Download the Minecraft 1.5.2 PPC.zip file to your PPC Mac and extract it. (Download link found under the guide)
2. Move the Minecraft 1.5.2 Starter app to your applications folder.
3. Move the minecraft folder to Application Support. (To get to Application Support, do Command (⌘) + Shift (⇧) + G, type/copypaste "~/Library/Application Support" and press enter)
4. Open the Minecraft 1.5.2 Starter from your Applications folder, and enter your username. (Yes, this is cracked. No passwords required)
5. Click the Continue button and wait a bit. It might take some time to launch. If you encounter any errors, be sure you have 1 GB or more RAM in your Mac, and make sure you have moved the minecraft folder to the correct place. If you know your stuff, but still
encounter errors, be sure to check Google and if that doesn't work contact me via Twitter or something like that.
6. After Minecraft finally launches, well... now you are on your own. Mess around with the settings, do the classic TNT test to see how much can your Californian nuclear bomb take before exploding, do whatever. It's Minecraft.
Tip: If you have a PPC Mac with more than 2 GB of RAM, you can open the Starter app in Script Editor and change "Xmx1024M" to something like "Xmx2048M" or even Xmx4096M" if you want to. This will increase the amount of RAM the game can use.

If you have friends with PPC Macs or you want to invite your friends over to play some Minecraft 1.5.2, you can setup a 1.5.2 server. I am not good with servers so I can't really tell you how to make one, but Google can probably help you with this. Anyways, if you are interested here's the server.jar for 1.5.2: launcher.mojang.com/v1/objects/f9ae3f651319151ce99a0bfad6b34fa16eb6775f/server.jar
